The agency’s warning comes after a case in the US involving a patient in India where he was prescribed “Viagra, a generic version of Viagra”, and has been reported to have expired.
The patient was a 60-year-old man from India who had been taking generic sildenafil (Viagra) for erectile dysfunction (ED) for four years. He had been using the drug for a year and was prescribed it on the basis of a positive blood test. He had a positive blood test to determine his ability to get an erection.
